NO PLANS THIS WEEKEND is a company of artists that produces completely improvised media projects. Behind-the scenes-footage is always captured and included in the final project.
We have nothing to do. And we will do it.
The Movie
NO PLANS THIS WEEKEND presents: MADE UP
… is an entirely improvised feature-length comedy about… something. We seriously don’t know what yet. And woven right into the final film will not only be the story and dialogue made up when the cameras roll, but also a documentary about the insane process behind those cameras.
The Fundraiser
On Friday, September 29th at 7:30 pm, the No Plans This Weekend players will present an night of improv (and booze) to raise the last dollars we need to produce the last movie you’ll ever need to see. Join us for a night of comedy, auctions, raffles, and other ways for us to take your money.
For real, we are doing this. We have gathered together a group of sufficiently talented people and we are going to shoot a movie over the course of four long days, with really and truly no plans at all. No scenes, no characters, no script. And by the time we are done, God willin’ and the creek don’t rise, we will have an actual movie with an actual story. We will also shoot behind-the scenes the entire time, and all that great footage will be IN the movie itself, and not just stuck on the end in the credits. You know what else won’t be stuck in the credits? The outtakes and bloopers. Those will be IN the movie too because, come on, they’re always the best part, right? Except whatever that was at the end the recent Ant-Man movie. That’s 8 minutes of my life I’d like back, thank you very much. Anyway, yes. We are doing this.
